petition Amend the smoking ban
Smoking bans do not reduce smoking rates, but they do have economic consequences
The Great British pub is under threat and the biggest threat it faces is the smoking ban-indoor smoking rooms and exemptions for small landlocked pubs would save thousands of pubs from closing and save thousands of job loss's.
But it isn't just pubs at risk-600,000 people have stopped visiting bingo halls since the ban was introduced.
Smoking ban is an erosion of our civil liberties
Smoking is legal and the smoking ban was introduced to protect non smoking workers and customers.
But many landlords and workers within the trade smoke-No choice for them then?
A compromise can be found to save many business's from shutting their doors for good.
One that suits non smokers and smokers.
Got to be better than putting smokers on the street or in half open cattle sheds.
